STORY
In mid-2019 I pitched a meeting to the Chief Investment Officer of a major global investor in order to start a new relationship.
He declined.
It caused me to review my pitch. I put together an idea for a podcast. Once it was fully formed I went back to the same individual to ask him to join as a guest.
He accepted.
Over time engagement grew. Then during the pandemic the podcast received x100 more listens as a video instead of audio only.
Hosting a podcast has opened doors I didn’t think possible and it continues to be one of my favourite ever side projects.

FAVOURITE
My favourite episode to date is Mohamed El-Erian. I used to book his flights when I was an assistant at PIMCO. Ten years later I was able to talk markets, economics and sports with him. A stand up guy.
A close second is Michael Milken, who I spoke to in the midst of the COVID pandemic.
